Walla Walla Drag Strip will be hosting it's 1st annual Awards Banquet.

The Banquet will be held on Dec 1 2012 at 5pm at the Walla Walla Elks Lodge at 351 East Rose St, Walla Walla, WA 99362 Map (http://goo.gl/maps/dxo48)

Cost will be $30 per person that will include a Prime Rib dinner.

For anyone needing a room I can make arrangements for a group rate at the Holiday Inn. I was given a price of $89+tax per room.

We need to a definite head count for the Banquet.

In an effort to make things go smoother on the night of the banquet we need to get everyone attending to prepay.

The cost is $30 per person.

Please make checks out to Walla Walla Drag Strip and mail them to:

A final count will be needed by Monday Nov. 26th.

The menu will look something like this.

- slow roast prime rib, horseradish cream, au jus

- frech braised whole chickens, carved for service, reduction sauce
- yukon gold mashed potatoes
- roast butternut squash, acorn squash, cauliflower, onion, garlic, fried sage
- sauteed red cabbage, blanched broccoi, sauteed garlic, crisp bacon, toasted almonds, vinaigrette
- mixed green salad, goat cheese, veggies, red wine vinaigrette

- baguettes and butter

Also, if you did not race at Walla Walla this year, or ever, you're still more than welcome to join us. Just let us know you're coming and send us your money. We would be happy to have you.

We have come up with a tentative timeline for the banquet.

Start time:5:00pm
5:00pm to 6:00pm Social/Happy hour :cheers:
6:00pm dinner will start:drool:
6:45/7:00 awards presentation will start :popcorn:
9:00pm cutoff time.

Also just friendly reminder that we need to know who's coming. Smile

We need to get an official count to the caterer. If you have no paid you will not be included in that count and we will not have room for you.

Yesterday was the cutoff to RSVP. We still have a little time before the caterer needs a final head count. If you have not got your money to us yet please do so by the end of next week.

Just a little update.

Due to the cost of the prime-rib/chicken dinner, and the fact that most of the kids probably don't' want to eat it, We will be serving a pizza dinner for the Kids.

Cost will be $10 per guest for anyone who has kids that wants to bring them
